John Driscoll serves as President of Alter+Care, the healthcare development arm of The Alter Group. His experience includes strategic business development, financing and operational activities for Alter+Care as it continues to perform as one of the top 10 healthcare development firms in the nation.
Mr. Driscoll's daily analysis of the marketplace encompasses not only real estate, but the overall market as it pertains to the healthcare profession. This includes federal and state regulations and Medicare/Medicaid reimbursements. Current trends he can illuminate include the general economic downturn as it pertains to healthcare, fluctuations in midterm interest rates and ten-year treasuries, the federal budget and its reimbursement for healthcare services, and the continuous shift of medical services to the outpatient arena, thereby reducing hospital stays and increasing demand for ambulatory care. |

Previously, Mr. Driscoll directed all healthcare-related real estate activities for Rush University Medical Center, including strategic facilities planning, capital budgeting, capital development projects, property management and leasing. His most recent move in a real estate career that began in 1978 was joining The Alter Group to develop its Alter+Care affiliate in 1996. |
