The Wellness Process
Feasibility/Business Planning
A receptive marketplace is critical to the success of a medically based health and fitness center. In Phase I, ALTER+CARE works with the client to determine the project feasibility and scope. This phase includes:
  • Market assessment
  • Program planning
  • Site selection
  • Conceptual design
  • Ownership options
  • Finance structuring
  • Regulatory approval
  • Marketing and sales
  • Development schedule
With the project's feasibility and scope determined, ALTER+CARE works with key administrators to create a comprehensive business plan. This document provides a detailed analysis of the critical factors involved in developing and operating a successful medically based health and fitness center.

Internal Approvals
Educational presentations are prepared to effectively demonstrate the business plan and feasibility study findings. First, we present the business plan to senior management. Following their approval, we present the plan to the board of trustees, including any board committees and corporate/parent boards, if applicable.

Development
Upon final project approval, ALTER+CARE begins implementing the business plan's diverse components, coordinating everything from design and construction to the recruitment and hiring of qualified fitness center staff. In addition, ALTER+CARE creates and executes a comprehensive marketing communications plan to achieve projected membership goals.

Management Services
In some cases, our clients prefer that ALTER+CARE continues our relationship with wellness centers after the development phase by providing ongoing management services. We are fully equipped to handle this responsibility of managing the day-to-day operations with an experienced team of seasoned professionals. Our overriding objective is to insure the financial and philosophical success of each center.
